David Jhave Johnston: Interstitial

4001, rue Berri, local 301
April 24 – May 29, 2010

Interstitial is a film about transformations that is constructed with code in real-time. It is made from 360 video files, 85 audio files and 445 shuffled poetic phrases which are remixed ceaselessly into an endless combinatorial triptych . It is both an artwork generated by computational processes and a meditation on the cycles of birth, life and death.

Originally conceived for online viewing http://glia.ca/interstitial, Interstitial will be re-mastered and re-configured for its physical installation at OBORO.
